Al: [Bridge]

The DMs are still going at it behind the scenes, not to worry. Things are in motion, though a tad slower than we projected, but in motion nonetheless. AB and I exchange several e-mails a day about whether or not the CD cover should have a bison on it. I voted "yes," of course, because... well, why the hell not?

Sorry we've fallen down on the job on posting the clips. We all have (dumb, non-rockstar) jobs that sometimes get in the way.

I've been trying to keep my mind right and concentrate on seeing Sins finished and out and in the hands of the clamoring millions and all, but damn if a few new songs aren't creeping into my weird brain on a daily basis. Trying to keep them at arm's length until this first recording is out, though. One thing at a time.

Clip Six: Gone Off Somewhere

Al says: Of all the DMs songs, this is the one I have been the most up and down with. Mid-tempo songs like this one and Brand New Year always do that to me. First, I made them change the key. Then I made them speed it up. Then slow it down. Then back to the original key. Then add a solo. Then change the key again. Remove the solo. Speed it up.

Then Vince punched me.

I can say, despite all my hand-wringing, I do love how the second chorus came out with the harmony tracks.

Well, I can't help falling in love with you, either.

Last night, we went with friends to dine and be entertained at the North Georgia landmark, The Lantern Inn.

It was hot and sweaty and I still smell like catfish but, as you can see, I received the coveted blessing of the King.

Marking time over here at DMs.com. We'll have an update soon on the new timeline for the CD release. Things finally seem to be in motion on it, so that's very good. We have heard the final mixes, and are well pleased.

And then...

We waited some MORE!

Sorry, everybody. We appreciate hearing that many people are looking forward to the release of the CD. We are... also looking forward to it.

The mastering is taking longer then we originally anticipated which pushes back the release a few weeks.

No clip today. Listen to some Randy Newman, instead. Keep thinking about the people in LA, MS and AL who have been so very devastated. They need your help.
